UK address validation for insurers, brokers and MGAs

Get the address right at the quote, not at the claim

AddressBrain adds Royal Mail-licensed address autocomplete and validation to your quote-and-buy journey. Users pick their address in three keystrokes, and your rating engine gets a real, correctly formatted PAF address instead of whatever was typed into the box.

The cost of a wrong postcode

One wrong address and the risk you priced is not the risk you wrote

The postcode carries a lot of the pricing weight in personal lines. Flood, subsidence, crime, and rebuild costs all depend on the property’s specific location. If the user mistypes it, picks the wrong flat, or their address isn’t on your system at all, the rating engine still returns a figure – just the wrong one.
None of this surfaces at quote. Issues arise at renewal, mid-term adjustments, or at the claim when somebody has to explain why the policy was priced against a property down the road.

The address field is where the quote form stalls.

Autofill on address fields increases form completion by 25% and reduces the time to complete by 30%. It is the cheapest friction you will take out of a quote journey.

A wrong postcode is a known cause of pricing complaints.

The Financial Ombudsman has linked incorrect postcodes to customer complaints, as wrong address data often leads to miscalculated insurance premiums.

An address you do not hold yet becomes a declined quote.

New-build postcodes reach Royal Mail before they reach most insurer databases. Until they land, the applicant is declined or rated at the cautious end for an admin reason, not a risk one.
Autocomplete and address search

Let them pick the property. Stop letting them describe it.

Add as-you-type completion wherever an address is entered in your journey: direct quote forms, aggregator hand-offs, broker portals, and renewal and mid-term adjustment screens. Three or four characters and the full, correctly formatted address drops into your form. There is nothing left for the user to get wrong, and nothing for your team to correct later.
Search by postcode, a partial address, or a business name.
Returns clean, structured, PAF-formatted fields, not one long string.
1.4m UK business names included for commercial lines and premises cover.
Fewer boxes on screen, which matters most on mobile.
Postcode lookup and validation

Catch bad addresses before they reach the rating engine.

Not every address arrives through a form you control. Aggregator feeds, broker submissions, migrated policy records and legacy books arrive with no validation at all. Run them through the lookup API, one record at a time or as a batch, and get a full, normalised address back for any UK postcode.
Validates and normalises the data one record at a time or in a batch.
Latitude, longitude, and new build data included at no extra cost.
Clean the policy records you already hold before the next renewal run.
Flag undeliverable addresses before you post a policy document or a statutory notice.
New builds and newly created addresses

The address exists. Your database just hasn’t caught up.

When a development is completed, the local authority creates the addresses, and they’re registered with Royal Mail. Insurers running their own address tables on a slower refresh cycle end up quoting against a postcode that’s not there yet. The applicant is declined or rated cautiously because of an admin gap rather than anything about the property.
AddressBrain reads officially licensed Royal Mail PAF data, so a new address is available to you as soon as it’s live on the file.

One request and your developer can have this running this week.

No sales call and no scoping session before anyone can test it. Your change process will set the timeline, but your developer can prove the thing works first.
Create an account, copy the key out of the dashboard, and make the first call. That’s the whole integration.
Authenticate with a single [API key / bearer token], no OAuth handshake.

Live usage dashboard, so you can watch spend as it happens.
Distributed, auto-scaling architecture, so an aggregator peak or a renewal batch doesn’t queue behind one database.
